Help me make a sign up sheet on Signupcamp.

My event: [describe the event, its date and start time, and what people should sign up for or bring]

Reply with:

1. A link that opens the sheet in Signupcamp, built like this:
https://app.signupcamp.com/start?title=...&date=...&location=...&notes=...&items=...&src=ai_prompt
- title: the event name.
- date: YYYY-MM-DD for an all-day event, or YYYY-MM-DDTHH:MM in local time. Leave it out if there is no date.
- location and notes: optional. Notes are instructions everyone sees.
- items: one slot per line. Add " x3" to a line that needs 3 people or 3 of something. A line ending in ":" starts a category for the lines below it.
- URL-encode every value: spaces as %20, new lines as %0A.

2. The same slots as a plain list, one per line, so I can paste them into the "Paste a list" box if the link does not work.

Why groups run this on Signupcamp

A link that opens your sheet filled in

The assistant writes a Signupcamp link with your title, date, location, notes, and slots. Opening it fills in the editor, and nothing is created until you publish.

Or paste the list

Prefer plain text? Paste the assistant’s list into the Paste a list box when you create your sheet. Bullets, headings, tables, and counts like x3 all come through.

Works with any assistant

The link is plain text, so ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, or any assistant that follows the prompt can write one.

You stay in control

Check every slot and fix anything the assistant got wrong before you publish. Then share one link with your group.

Frequently asked questions

Can ChatGPT make a sign up sheet?
Yes. ChatGPT can’t publish a sheet for you, but with the prompt on this page it writes a link that opens your sheet in Signupcamp already filled in. You check it, publish it, and share one link with your group.
Do I need an account?
Not to start. The link opens the editor without an account. You create a free account when you publish, so your sheet is saved and you get your share link. People signing up never need an account.
Is anything published automatically?
No. A link can only fill in the editor. Nothing is saved or shared until you review the sheet and publish it.
What if the link doesn’t work?
Very long sheets make very long links, and some assistants break a link across lines. Copy the plain list from the same reply and paste it into the Paste a list box when you create your sheet. Either way, a sheet can start with up to 100 slots.
Can the assistant set how many people each slot needs?
Yes. A line like “Setup crew x3” becomes a slot for three people, and a line ending in a colon, like “Desserts:”, groups the lines below it into a category.
Does it work with Claude, Gemini, or Copilot?
Yes. The prompt doesn’t depend on one assistant: any assistant that follows the format and writes a link works, and the plain list works everywhere.
Is it free?
Yes, creating sheets is free to get started, and people signing up never pay.
